SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS AND INFORMATION

If you are exploring end-of-life options, you might consider Earth Funeral, a Washington-based provider headquartered in Auburn.

They offer a process called natural organic reduction (often referred to as human composting). After death, the body is respectfully transported to their facility and placed in a vessel with organic materials such as plant matter. Over the course of several weeks, this process transforms the body into nutrient-rich soil.

Families have the option to receive a portion of this soil to use in gardens or for planting, while the remainder can be donated to conservation efforts, including reforestation projects in areas like Olympic National Forest.

Many people are drawn to this approach because it avoids embalming chemicals and reduces impacts on land, air, and water, while supporting the regeneration of new life.

Earth Funeral also offers informational seminars online throughout the year. Those who have attended often find them clear, helpful, and thoughtfully organized, and the staff are frequently described as compassionate and supportive.

For more information, you can contact them at 1-253-802-8299.
