The Unitarian Universalist Association has created social justice programs that empower congregations and individuals to actively work toward justice, equity, compassion in society and a healthy planet where all can live with peace and dignity.

Side With Love

Side with Love is a public advocacy campaign that seeks to harness love’s power to stop oppression. It is sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Association, and all are welcome to join. Learn more: https://sidewithlove.org/

Democracy and Voting Rights

UU the Vote is a bold initiative created by the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Side With Love team that engages people in voter registration, issue education, get-out-the-vote drives, voter protection, state leadership development, and more. Learn more:  https://uuthevote.org/

Economic Justice

We work for justice, equity, and compassion in our relationships and systemic change in our society. We know that the escalation of economic inequality undergirds a thousand injustices, from climate change to homelessness, from mass incarceration to low-wage worker exploitation. A better world is possible, and we strive to be part of the solution. Learn more:  https://www.uua.org/economic

Environmental Justice

All life is interconnected. From the forest to the sea to humanity itself, each thread of being is woven into a single fabric of existence. We work in partnership with those most impacted by environmental destruction, who are often marginalized in the larger culture. Often these “frontline” communities are impacted hardest and have fewest resources to recover. We collaborate because it is only with the knowledge and experience of these communities that equitable and sustainable change can happen.  Learn more:  https://www.uua.org/environment

Immigrant Justice

We show up on the side of love with all families, regardless of citizenship status, and strive to create welcoming communities and congregations. We organize and advocate for immigration reform, for an end to detentions and deportations, and for a world where hands are extended in peace and care across borders and no one feels forced to leave home or risk death in pursuit of a decent life for their family. Lesbian Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Justice

Each of us has worth and dignity, and that worth includes our gender and our sexuality. As Unitarian Universalists (UUs), we not only open our doors to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, we value diversity of sexuality and gender and see it as a spiritual gift. We create inclusive religious communities and work for LGBTQ justice and equity as a core part of who we are. Learn more: https://www.uua.org/lgbtq

Racial Justice

Every person has value as a member of the human family. We support multiracial, multiethnic congregations and advocate for stopping racist policies like mass imprisonment and attacks on voting rights. Our multicultural ministries will continue until there is peace, liberty, and justice for all. Learn more: https://www.uua.org/multiculturalism/programs

Reproductive Justice

Decisions about children, families, and sexuality are among life’s most profound responsibilities. As part of a liberatory Reproductive Justice movement, we affirm our commitment to building a world in which all people are able to make choices about their bodies, their health, and their families within safe, thriving communities.  Learn more:  https://www.uua.org/reproductive
